Competence depends on technical knowledge, skill, experience and training. Measurement of competence is a difficult task and requires specific assessment methods which have been developed by the IECEx Certification of Personnel Competence Scheme. Competence evolves with years and may deteriorate, so continued training and assessment is necessary.

This course will provide the detail knowledge of hazardous area principles, various international standards and certification schemes relevant to the topic of explosive atmosphere.

Installation of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas
Objective

To provide knowledge and training for those personnel who would like to involve and work in installation & testing of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.

  • Electrical & Instrument Technicians
  • Electrical & Instrument Inspectors
  • Electrical & Instrument technical graduates
Course Outcome
  • Detail knowledge about different codes & standards, Competency schemes all over the world, concepts and features of various protection techniques.
  • Knowledge of verifying the equipment prior to installation for suitability, various installation practices for different zone rating, testing of equipment online/offline and its requirements.
  • Work culture, procedure, risk management and documentation.
