Course Objective

Gain essential knowledge and skills in designing electrical installations for explosive atmospheres with our IECEx training course designed for Ex 009: Design of Electrical Installation in or Associated with Explosive Atmosphere. This program equips you with the expertise to design safe, compliant, and efficient electrical systems for hazardous environments, ensuring they meet international standards and regulatory requirements. Enhance your ability to apply the correct design principles to ensure safety and prevent ignition risks in explosive atmospheres.

Target Audience

All personnel working in design & engineering can attend the preparatory courses. A minimum of technical education through degree or diploma certificates and minimum of 3 years of work experience in general electrical installation design can attend IECEx CoPC assessment. IECEx Ex 001 certification of competence is a pre-requestee to attend IECEx Ex 009 assessment.

Course Outcome

  • Comprehensive Understanding of Codes, Standards, and Competency Schemes:
Gain in-depth knowledge of international design codes, standards, and IECEx competency schemes relevant to electrical installations in explosive atmospheres. Understand their practical application to ensure compliance and mitigate risks in hazardous environments.
  • Mastery of Design Principles and Techniques:
Learn the essential principles and techniques for designing electrical systems in explosive environments. Develop expertise in selecting and applying the appropriate protection methods to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical installations.
  • Proficiency in Risk Assessment and Compliance Procedures:
Understand the importance of conducting thorough risk assessments and following structured design procedures. Enhance your ability to incorporate safety features, meet regulatory standards, and ensure the safe operation of electrical installations in explosive atmospheres.

This IECEx training course provides participants with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to design safe and compliant electrical installations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in hazardous environments.
