- Overview of Codes & Standards and Competency schemes
- Electrical and Non-Electrical Ignition Sources (Hazards) & Handling
- Hazardous Area Classification – Zone and Class/Div concept
- Various Certification Schemes (ATEX, IECEx, ANZEx, NEC)
- ATEX is not equal to IECEx – A Difference
Day 2:
- Flammable Materials Properties
- Explosion Protection Methods, Principles & Types (Ex d, e, n, i, p, m, o)
- Certification Schemes and Equipment Marking
- Occupational Health & Safety, Permit to Work System
- Ex Register & Hazardous Area Dossier
